Terms of Service

By accessing, downloading, or using the SaySplit application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

SaySplit provides an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to facilitate the division of group expenses. Users can input expenses using natural language, which the application processes to determine individual financial splits. SaySplit acts as a calculation and tracking utility; it is not a financial institution or payment processor.

In order to access and use the Service, you are required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are strictly responsible for safeguarding your password and any other credentials used to access your account. You agree to take full responsibility for any activities or actions that occur under your account, whether or not you have authorized such activities. SaySplit cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to secure your account credentials.

SaySplit offers optional premium subscription plans ("Premium Features") that unlock advanced capabilities within the application.

Billing and Auto-Renewal: Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring, periodic basis (such as monthly) and are processed securely through the Google Play Store. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle under the exact same conditions unless you cancel it.

Cancellation: You can cancel your SaySplit subscription at any time. To prevent being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel the subscription directly through your Google Play Store account subscription settings before your current renewal date. Deleting the SaySplit application or your user account does not automatically cancel your active subscription.

Refunds: All purchases and subscription transactions are managed entirely by the Google Play Store. To the maximum extent permitted by law, all subscription charges are non-refundable. Any requests for refunds must be submitted directly through the Google Play Store refund policy interface.

Lifetime Plan Terms: A "Lifetime" plan grants you access to all current Pro features for as long as the SaySplit app is available and supported. "Lifetime" refers to the lifespan of the app itself, not the lifetime of the user. If the app is ever discontinued, this access will end. This plan is meant for normal, everyday use. We reserve the right to suspend or limit accounts that abuse our systems or generate unnatural server costs (such as spamming automated requests). Lastly, this purchase applies to this specific SaySplit app and does not guarantee free access to future, separate apps or entirely new products if they are released separately.

Your registration and use of the Service are also governed by our Privacy Policy, which details how we collect, store, and use your personal information. By creating an account and using SaySplit, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and block your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to, any breach of these Terms of Service, such as violating the User Conduct guidelines or attempting to manipulate the underlying AI infrastructure. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Important Notice: SaySplit utilizes Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models to interpret user input. While engineered for high precision, AI interpretations are inherently probabilistic.

The Service may occasionally misinterpret text descriptions, numerical amounts, or the intended distribution among group members. You are strictly responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all calculated splits before accepting them or settling debts. SaySplit assumes no liability for financial inaccuracies arising from AI misinterpretations or user input errors.

You agree to use SaySplit solely for lawful purposes. You shall not use the Service to calculate or facilitate the division of costs associated with illegal goods, services, or activities. You further agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer the underlying algorithms, manipulate the natural language processing systems through adversarial inputs, or disrupt the Service's infrastructure.

All intellectual property rights pertaining to the SaySplit application—including but not limited to its codebase, AI prompt configurations, UI/UX design, and branding—are exclusively owned by the application's developers. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to utilize the application for its intended purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SaySplit and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This specifically includes, but is not limited to, financial disputes among users or uncollected debts.

These Terms of Service and your use of the application shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
