Do I need to create an account to use SaySplit?
Not at all. We believe splitting a bill shouldn't require filling out forms. SaySplit is completely frictionless-there are no emails, no passwords, and no phone numbers required. We use a secure, anonymous identifier tied to your device so you can open the app and start chatting immediately.
How does the AI work? Does it read all my private chats?
No, your everyday conversations are entirely private. The AI does not read your regular text messages. When you want to log a shared expense, you simply tap the "Expense" toggle and type naturally. Only those explicitly selected messages are securely sent to our AI to extract the math and update the group's balances.
What languages does the AI understand?
Because SaySplit uses advanced AI, it understands natural conversational text in dozens of languages. Whether you type "I paid 50 bucks for the lobster" in English, Spanish, French, or anything else, the AI will perfectly understand the context and do the math.
Can I just upload a photo of a receipt?
Yes! If you don't want to type out the expense, just tap the Bill icon next to the chat box to upload a photo of your receipt. The AI will instantly scan the image, extract the totals, and format the expense for the group.
How do I invite friends to my group?
Inside any group chat, tap "Share Group." It will generate a simple link that you can text or WhatsApp to your friends. When they tap it, the SaySplit app will instantly open and drop them right into the group-with absolutely zero sign-up process.
Is SaySplit free to use? Are there ads?
Yes, SaySplit is currently free to download and use. We believe financial tools should be clean and distraction-free, so the app is designed without disruptive banner ads cluttering up your chat screens.
Is SaySplit available on iPhone?
Currently, SaySplit is available exclusively for Android devices via the Google Play Store.
How do I permanently delete my data?
You have total control over your local data. You can request a complete deletion of your anonymous device ID and all associated server data at any time by emailing us at support@saysplit.app with the Device ID found in your app settings.
